We were on assignment last year for Our State Magazine at the persimmon festival. This was our first time experiencing that strange little fruit, and it is an acquired taste for sure. The story came out in this past November’s issue, we have posted the spreads below.
Joey and Jessica are Southern born photographers who live to create fun, off-beat classic imagery. Upon graduating art school for painting and photography, they decided to fully commit themselves to photography and began working together in 2007. Their attention to detail, professionalism and easy going demeanor translate into timeless, fun images. Joey and Jessica thrive on creating and nurturing photo concepts and their love of nature, Americana and spontaneous moments inspire their work daily. When not creating they can be found renovating their 1940s bungalow, rock climbing, cooking, reading and spending time with their son Everett. Joey is an Aquarius and Jessica is a Taurus, if you're into that sort of thing and they absolutely love what they do for a living. Jessica's dad always told her that " If you can make a living doing something you love, you will never work a day in your life " He also use to say that " Eggs are like candy to dogs " Both sayings, are actually in fact, true. .
